NGV-1 OIL-GAS-WATER ANALYZER

Presently, there are no devices that could be mounted on pipes and provide for continuous, adequate quality analysis of the three components’ content in oil mixture: oil, water, gas (including dissolved gas). This information is of extreme importance both for the economy and for the correct well operation. Therefore, such devices are needed by nearly all enterprises engaged in oil extraction, transportation and processing (for example, Ukrnafta OJSC).

NGV-1 was developed by Kharkiv Institute for Measuring Instrumentation and tested at Akhtyrka Oil and Gas Producing Department on the initiative of Ukrnafta OJSC. By now, the State Testing of this device has been completed, and the Control Test preparation is under way. The PERMIT for Start of Facility No. 3125u08 Operation has been obtained.

PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS

1. Purpose – continuous analysis of oil, water, gas (including dissolved gas) content in the extracted flow.

2. Limits of main permissible measurement error for:
    Water - ± 2,5%, gas - ± 4%, oil - ± 2,5%.

3. Operational environment:
    a) Measuring section with a sensor, pressure sensor and electronic measurement unit
       • Analyzable medium pressure – max. 4 МPа;
       • Analyzable medium temperature range –+5 to +400С;
       • Ambient temperature –-40 to +500С
    b) control unit, PC:
        at temperature of min. +50С.

4. Electric power supply: rated voltage ~220V at frequency of (50±1)Hz.

5. Control unit power consumption: max. 20 VA.

6. One measurement duration: 15 to 30 min, depending on oil mixture viscosity.

7. Dust and moisture protection degree IP40.

8. Еxplosion protection marking:
    For control unit – «ExiaIIA», for measurement unit – «OExiaIIAT4».
